Halloween in the Garden of Carol Dutoit
October 10, 2004

Carol is a personal friend and it's always interesting to see what new garden art features she has added to her garden.

With Halloween coming up soon, I wanted to visit and see what she has for this holiday.

We first saw the Glass Rose Garden with the many glass balls on cpper stakes.

Since delphiniums are also planted here, Carol has some left over copper stakes and so she put pumpkins on theml quite the effect.

Then on a table, Carol has a large clear glass container to which she has added mini-pumpkins, then water, then a material called Candlescapes which floats on top.

Candlescapes should be available at most craft stores; Carol bought hers at EZ Orchards.

Carol used an organce color, she told me other colors are available for different holidays.

Then she put wicks in ths and so has a 'candle' like feature.

Another use for the mini pumpkins is to carefully cut off a small amount of the top, add Candlescapes, then wich, and bingo!; miniature pumpkin candles.

Our final shot is of candles that melted in the heat last summer and were all upside down!
